Job Description


Responsible for managing a regional market, which includes sponsorships, sales events, advertising campaigns, airport signage, etc. Primary objectives include: enhancing American’s brand perception, building awareness of new and existing products/network/services and increasing revenue.

This job is a member of the US Regional Marketing team within the Marketing and Loyalty Organization, part of the Customer Division.

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:




Duties and Responsibilities





  • Work individually and with various teams to develop comprehensive marketing plans for various company and organizational initiatives by acting as the primary point of contact in Marketing


  • Evaluate all marketing channels and creates a plan to best utilize the various channels them on different campaigns


  • Evaluate the different marketing channels and the best way to execute across channels on a per campaign basis


  • Champions the brand’s tone of voice in all marketing assets, including copy and creative- often requires limited copywriting work with the support of other teams


  • Build Adobe dashboards to track marketing performance and develop insights from performance monitoring to deliver optimized future campaigns


  • Interact and collaborate with other groups including Premium Guest Services, Onboard Products, Digital Content, AAdvantage, Network Planning, Revenue Management, Sales, Legal, Corporate Communications, Causes and Global Engagement- at all levels of the organization


  • Create owned channels marketing assets and submit for production/deployment


  • Project manage campaigns from start to finish and develop ongoing reports to deliver results for leadership


  • Must be willing to travel for business when needed









Job Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training


  • 1 year marketing experience


  • Media agency or relevant job experience (brand or analytics)


  • Experience with ad technology such as Adobe, Ad serving platforms, Google Ad Words, SEM Rush, etc.


  • Solid understanding of digital media including KPIs and measurement


  • Ability to work with cross-functional groups and develop relationships with key stakeholders


  • Excellent presentation skills and written/ oral communication skills


  • Exceptional project management skills with experience in working effectively under deadline pressures and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders



  • Preferred Qualifications


  • Business Degree, preferably in business/marketing/advertising


  • Prior experience working with cross functionally across many different business units and with all levels of stakeholders


  • Creative, visual thinking skills with an ability to think "outside the box"


  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail


  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines


  • Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills


  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


  • Knowledge of the aviation industry and familiarity with American's Marketing organization


  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels within the organization
