Punjab Police Welfare Fund Scholarship Form 2021

A scholarship program for children of employees of the Punjab Police was announced by Punjab Police Welfare. Scholarships will be offered to children of employed persons, medically unfit persons, and deceased persons until October 31, 2021. Students enrolled in Intermediate, BS, MA MSc, and MS programs are eligible for the Punjab Police welfare scholarship. Applications for the scholarship must be submitted by December 31, 2021.

In examining an application, the district/unit committee must ensure that the applicant has already joined the college and is eligible to receive a scholarship. After that, the applications would be forwarded to the Additional Inspector General of Police, Finance and Welfare, Punjab. No applications will be accepted after the prescribed date.

Punjab Police Welfare Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

Scholarships will be granted only if a candidate obtains the required percentage in the following exams:

  • Matriculation: 65%
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree: 60%
  • Designated University/Institute: 65%
  • All children are eligible to apply for a scholarship/stipend.
  • Scholarships/stipends are only available to regular/full-time students. Part-time students are not eligible to receive a scholarship or stipend.
  • For students admitted on a self-finance basis and on a sports basis to public/private institutions, the same scholarships are offered to regular students at public colleges/universities, subject to the percentages mentioned above.

Terms & Conditions:

  1. The scholarship ('according to actual', "public according to actual", or "private according to public"), if applicable, shall only cover admission, tuition, and registration fee as well as an allocation for books.
  2. In addition to the fixed stipend, an annual grant for books will be provided, if applicable.
  3. After contributing to the Punjab Police Welfare Fund, a PSP officer would be eligible for the grant of a scholarship for his children:
  4. If he/she is presently serving in Punjab when the claim is made, for a period of at least five years (continuous or intermittent); or
  5. If he/she is serving outside Punjab, he/she must serve for at least 15 years (continuously or with intervals).

According to the rules, he/she may be eligible for other financial benefits, including dowry charges, funeral charges, maintenance allowance, financial medical assistance, etc.
