After permission from the Govt of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the International Cricket Council (ICC) has approved a 70 percent capacity limit for the UAE leg of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in 2021, after permission from the Govt.
The news was made on Sunday when the International Cricket Council (ICC) launched ticket sales for all ICC Twenty20 World Cup matches.
The event is scheduled to start on October 17th, with the qualifying rounds taking place in Oman. Taking place in Abu Dhabi on October 23, the Super12s round will begin with Australia taking on South Africa in the first game of the tournament. The match between Pakistan and India will take place on the 24th of October in Dubai, and it is one of the most exciting games in cricket.
Al Amerat Stadium in Muscat would be able to seat around 3,000 spectators. It stated that "all venues in the United Arab Emirates would be running at about 70% of their full seating capacity," and that "Abu Dhabi has also installed new socially separated 'pods' with a maximum capacity of four spectators on their east and west grass mounds."
The International Cricket Council (ICC) and the host Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will work together to ensure that spectators were welcomed in a secure environment and that COVID-19 protocols were followed at all sites, the statement continued.
Tickets for all 45 matches are on the purchase now on the International Cricket Council's website. Prices for tickets range from 10 OMR to 30 AED in Oman and the United Arab Emirates, respectively.
