Scout and RS additions to Octavia stable
Skoda has added a Scout and two RS versions to its new generation Octavia, writes Brian Byrne.
The latest Octavia Scout has 15mm more ground clearance and a rugged trim details, and provides more space inside than its predecessor variants.
A standard Rough Road package includes underbody protection. An optional 2.0 200hp diesel gives plenty of power to the estate-only Scout for towing caravan, horse-box, or trailer. There will also be 115hp, 150hp and 190hp petrol engines and DSG automatics. The Scout comes with FWD and AWD options.
The new RS versions of the Octavia now offers three different drive systems — petrol or diesel engine, and the RS iV, the brand’s first RS plug-in hybrid. Power outputs are 200hp and 245hp, and the 200hp diesel is available with all-wheel drive.
More details later on Irish availability and pricing.
