Dear Alia,

I hope you must be enjoying good health and your new life in the college atmosphere. There is definitely more independence in college as compared to school life. I remember your school life was full of enthusiasm and passion. You won many medals in debates, quiz programmes, and sports. I realize that you should give more time to your studies now to make your future. But I also advise you to take part in co-curricular activities like speech contests and quiz programmes as such type of healthy activities are also helpful in your studies. The extra knowledge you gain by reading other books than syllabus gives you an edge over other students. I am sending you a list of some informative and interesting books which will: surely prove helpful for the preparation of competitive contests. I am also sending a cheque of Rs. 5000/- to buy these books. Everybody here is concerned about your health and progress in studies.
