Age Limit: Born between 01 April 1997 to 31 March 2004. The Upper age is relaxable by 05 Years for SC/ST candidates.

Minimum Educational Qualification: As per Apprentices Act 1961 read in conjunction with Apprenticeship Rule 1992, the minimum educational qualification for a person to undergo apprenticeship training in Designated trade shall be 8th passed / 10th Standard with a minimum of 50% marks in 8th/10th followed by ITI Examination (Provisional National Trade Certificate acceptable) in relevant Trade with aggregate of 65% marks.

Minimum Physical Standards: Height 150 cm, Weight not less than 45 Kg, Chest expansion not less than 5 cm, Eye sight 6/6 to 6/9 (6/9 corrected with glasses), external & internal organs to be normal. Physical standards is as per MoD Letter No. FM/0442/NHQ/1278 D(N-II) dated 14 Nov 1996 regarding standard of physical fitness.

Commencement of Training: April 2018.

Selection Process: The Preliminary selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in Matric and ITI Examination. Candidates in the Preliminary Merit list will be called for Written Test to be held at Mumbai in the last week of January 2018. Candidates placed in the merit list on the basis of marks obtained in written examination, will be called for Interview/ Skill Test in February 2018.

Essential Qualifications: 8th class pass from a recognised school. Further, the candidate should have passed relevant ITI/ trade test from any institute recognized by NCVT (SCVT or any other authority specified through Gazette Notification of Ministry of Labour & Employment / Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, with duration as per the Apprentice Act, 1961) and should possess the qualification as on the closing date of application.

Standard for Physical Fitness for Training: Physical fitness for training will be as per Apprentices Act 1961 read in conjunction with Para 4 of Apprenticeship Rules 1992 (Schedule II) regarding standard of physical fitness. Candidates should satisfy the following minimum standards, namely:- HEIGHT: 137 centimeters; WEIGHT: 25.4 Kilogram; CHEST EXPANSION should not be less than 3.8 centimeters irrespective of size of chest.

Selection Process: Written Examination scheduled to be held at Mumbai in September 2017. The written examination of 2 hours duration would comprise of 100 Multiple Choice Questions in following parts:-

(a) Part-A Questions on English, General Knowledge, Mathematics and Aptitude/ Reasoning.
(b) Part-B  Questions on the group of subject trades.

Medium of Examination: The question paper will be bilingual in both English and Hindi (except for General English).
