Two Current Sources are connected in Series as Shown in Figure, What is the current flowing through Point C?
a) 5 V
b) 6 V
c) 2 V
d) Zero V
e) None of Given
Solution:
IDEAL Current sources cannot be added in series and IDEALVoltage sources cannot be added if they are in parallel because it is violations of KCL and KVL respectively. However, in Real life, it is possible to add voltage-voltage sources and current-current sources can be added. For Example, When we charge the battery by connecting it parallel to another battery of higher Voltage source. Ideal voltage and Ideal Current sources provide constant voltage and constant current respectively. While in real life, Current and Voltage sources are not ideal and provide some bit varying voltage and current.
