Africa is the world's second-largest and second-most-populous continent. At about 30.2 million km including adjacent islands, it covers six percent of the Earth's total surface area .It accounts for about 15% of the world's human population. The continent is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, both the Suez Canal and the Red Sea along the Sinai Peninsula to the northeast, the Indian Ocean to the southeast, and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. The continent includes Madagascar and various archipelagos.
It has 54 countries nine territories and two independent states.
Africa has been inhabited longer than any other continent. The earliest human fossils were found here. These Gambians are celebrating with drumming and dancing. There are five main ethnic groups in Gambia:

3-Wolofi
4 -Serahuli
5-Jola.
Important city(Egypt)
Egypt is historicaly important.There is Firown,Hazrat Yusuf, Hazrat Musa, river Neil and etc.Egypt has long been a cultural focus of the Arab world.
North west Africa
Northwest Africa is with a culture dating back to at least 2400bc.Their culture survives in remote villages in the Atlas mountains of Algeria and Morocco. In the north in countries such as Algeria, Morocco and Egypt, people are mainly Arabic. The Berber people were the first Tuaregs are camel-herding nomads who live in the Sahara desert, but much of their traditional grazing land has been taken over by permanent farms.
Black African
South of the Sahara most people are black Africans. There are more than 3000 ethnic groups of black Africans. Over 1000 different languages are spoken in Africa.Language of Africa
Most people in southern Africa speak English or one of 100 Bantu languages such as Zulu or Swahili. Many people in rural southern Africa live in round houses. Africa was ruled by the Europeans as colonies. By the early 1900s the country was divided into nations. Africa is the world's largest combination of density and of wild animal populations and diversity.There is wild populations of large carnivores such as lions, hyenas, and cheetahs and herbivores such as buffalo, elephants, camels, and giraffes. It is also home to a variety of wild animals including snakes and primates and aquatic life such as crocodiles and amphibians. In addition, Africa has the largest number of megafauna species.
