Job Description
This role will be responsible for evaluating and documenting Flight Attendant job performance, enforcing work rules and Company policy, and ensuring Flight Attendants’ professional standards are met. This role will also serve as the main point of contact for Flight Attendants for their assigned station to support and answer questions directly related to the Flight Attendant role. Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide Leadership, direction, and mentoring to Inflight base employees
Coach and counsel Flight Attendants which may include dealing with behavior, performance, and appearance issues
Maintain a working knowledge of the F/A Manual, Work & Conduct Rules, and Collective Bargaining Agreement
Attend all required Leadership annual training (i.e., Recurrent Training, Drug and Alcohol training, and any other training set by the Company or Leader)
Ensure compliance with all work rules and regulations
Ensure Flight Attendant recognition and awards programs are in place and follow up with anniversaries, external commendation letters, LUV reports, Kicktails, On The Spot, and all other special recognition awards
Conduct i360/Flight Attendant Boarding Performance assessments (some require late night travel), and visits to liaison with Leaders and Employees in assigned Southwest served cities
Qualify and maintain all the active requirements of a Southwest Airlines Flight Attendant
Responsible for the data entry of Flight Attendant personal files
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Job Requirements
Preferred: Microsoft 360
Knowledge of the principles and processes for providing Customer and personal services which may include conducting Customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating Customer Satisfaction
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as processing words, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
Knowledge of the business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Skilled in understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
Ability to shift back and forth between two or more activities or sources of information
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Fully functioning, broad knowledge in:
Directly or indirectly leading teams or individuals
Reading and interpreting Collective Bargaining Agreements and enforcing work rules
Airline operations
Required: Must have or be able to gain and maintain Inflight Crew Qualification (SWA Flight Attendant Certification)
Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
