Job Description
This role will provide strategic and analytical support to sales and commercial leadership. Use sales, booking, revenue and ticket data to generate meaningful insights on performance of the sales portfolio, at an account level, route/geography level or in various aggregations. The person in this role will work collaboratively across Sales, Marketing, and Network/PRM.
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
Aggregate and analyze booking, ticketing, revenue, and sales data from United and industry sources to identify Sales program performance trends and market opportunities in support of Sales / commercial leadership
Provide analytical support to front line sales to enhance UA's position with corporate and agency customers alike
Develop new analytical tools, reports, and processes that incorporate existing or newly created data that provide better insights
Analyze active corporate and agency discount and commission programs to identify new opportunities
Create presentations that communicate logical and coherent insights about corporate, agency, and market performance to help develop strategies that support overall success in the marketplace
Job Requirements
Enrollment in a Bachelor's program
Graduating Winter 2023 or Spring 2024
Fluency with relational databases and extracting data through a query interface
Excellence in packaging data into visualization platforms
Effective time management for multiple projects and deadlines
Ability to learn new data systems, tools, and processes
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Track record of outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to prioritize a range of responsibilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with others
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Major in a quantitative subject
Proficiency in SQL
Familiarity with Python or other big data skills
Expertise with airline commercial and sales data sources
Game theory dynamics in relation to airline sales strategy
Presentation to audiences of 20 or more people
