 Severe thunderstorm warning in effect for portions of Maine. SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING IN EFFECT:

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for portions of York county. Expect heavy rain, high winds, and possible hail with this thunderstorm. Prepare now for this approaching storm.

The warning has been issued for Hollis, Limerick and Limington. It is set to expire at 4 p.m.

The storm is moving east at 25 mph with radar indicated wind gusts up to 60 mph. Quarter-sized hail is possible.

An approaching cold front from the west will trigger a line of storms as we head into Friday afternoon and evening. Muggy air is already in place across much of southern Maine, and this will only aid the development of at least some severe weather, among other factors.
