Messenger Rooms: The new video calling feature of Facebook. Enable Teleconferencing with 50+ users. Create chat rooms and invite others.

According to Facebook, Video-calling Messenger Rooms will enable teleconferencing with 50+ users simultaneously without any time limit. It enables users to create chat rooms from a chat option and you can invite anyone to join whether they have a Facebook account or not. The feature is available on Facebook and Messenger both.

For adding new people to chats, chat rooms can be shared through the news feed, groups, and events which make it easy. You can spend fine quality time with family and friends with this feature, the company is working on adding ways to create rooms from Instagram Direct, WhatsApp, and Portal as well.

In its official press release, Facebook said: “If your friends or communities create rooms that are open to you, you’ll see them on Facebook so you can find things to do and people to hang out with. When you’re invited to a room, you can join from your phone or computer — no need to download anything to get started”

Due to some video chatting apps, Facebook focusing on that aspect as social-distancing and Work-from-Home has become the new normal amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
