Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has said that Facebook is launching "Shops", This will allow businesses to display and sell products on the world's major social network platforms.
The move to increase e-commerce offer comes after Facebook launched limited purchasing options on the photo-sharing app "Instagram" and messaging app "WhatsApp" last year.
The founders of the company want to make the platform more business-friendly so that fresh advertising can generate revenue. Facebook Shops will combine at least some of these efforts, enabling businesses to set up a single online store accessible through both Facebook and Instagram.
The checkout feature will enable in-app buyers, while the more in-depth integrated messaging feature will allow users to chat with businesses via WhatsApp, Messenger, or Instagram Direct.
