Nadra New ID Card / CNIC: Requirements Under New Policy 2021

The National Database Regulation Authority (NADRA) has presented a new policy 2020 for the issuance of Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) and other documents. In this policy, a birth certificate online/Pakistan or known as childbirth certificate won't be required to get a new CNIC; you just need to provide copies of a matriculation certificate, a domicile, a passport, and your parents’ CNICs.


There Are Four Types of CNIC Pakistan

  1. CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card)
  2. Smart CNIC (Smart Computerized National Identity Card)
  3. Nicop (National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis)
  4. Smart Nicop ( Smart National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis)


Requirements:

There are three types of requirements for applying CNIC in NADRA Pakistan;


Method No.1

  1. If you are a CRC or b form holder be sure to take one of your parents or siblings with you.
  2. Accompany parents with an original ID card or photocopy. If you are educated, you must take the original educational documents or photocopy with you.
  3. Even if you don't take the educational documents with you, you will still get the job done.
  4. In case of not being with parents or siblings, a form will be provided which will have to be submitted along with the attested documents from the village numberedar or 16+ grade government official.

Method No.2

  1. If you are not a CRC holder but have educational documents then you also can apply for a new id.
  2.  You sure to take one of your parents or siblings with you.
  3. Accompany parents with an original ID card or photocopy.
  4. In case of not being with parents or siblings, a form will be provided which will have to be submitted along with the attested documents from the village numberedar or 16+ grade government official.

Method No.3

  1. If you are not a CRC holder nor have any educational documents then you also can apply for a new id.
  2. You sure to take one of your parents or siblings with you.
  3. Accompany parents with an original ID card or photocopy.
  4. In this case, bringing parents or siblings with you is compulsory to take biometric.



Exceptions/Remarks:

  1. The Bio-metric Verification of Parents or Siblings has been taken
  2. Should bring Original Marriage Certificate in case of married status
  3. If you are a CRC/b-form holder or have metric/equivalent certificate or mark sheet or passport, must bring original or copy
  4. All required documents must be attested and countersigned by the same attester as of Form
  5. No need for child birth certificate from union coucil
  6. In the case of married or divorced or widow, the related document is required
  7. The computerized marriage certificate is not necessary, manual is also allowed
  8. If you do not have a marriage certificate you can bring an affidavit or spouse(husband/wife) with you
  9. Must bring original marriage certificate and original CNIC of the husband in case of status change
