Confirmation Updated: These Residents do not require ICA Approval to enter UAE

Big confusion solved of stranded residents outside UAE, expatriate residents having Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Sharjah visas who are stranded abroad (all nationalities) will no longer need entry permits issued by the ICA to enter the UAE. This is confirmed after airlines said the decision is revoked.


Abu Dhabi Visa Holders:

Etihad Airways confirmed that Abu Dhabi residents can now travel and return home freely without prior ICA approval to return to the UAE.

Sharjah Airport Announcement:

UAE residency holders can travel freely and no longer require ICA approval to return to UAE.
 

No more ICA Approval:

The decision was announced by the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) and ICA early on Wednesday and confirmed by several authentic UAE news channels.

“As of Wednesday, travelers need not apply for an entry permit and automatic approval will be granted to those wishing to return to the UAE”.


New Website for Collecting Data:
Important: The the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) has recommended those wishing to travel upload their personal data including emirates ID number, passport and nationality details on below mentioned website (uaeentry.ica) to verify the authenticity of their travel documents.



How to Submit Data on UAE Entry Site?
Below is the sample on how someone can submit his/her personal data on newly launched website. There is nothing to upload, you just need to write your Emirates ID number, Passport number, choose passport type (1), your nationality and click next.

In-case if it shows red message of 60 days, please do not book ticket as you will not be allowed to board. this is confirmed from many returned residents. or book only if travel agent is sure and ready to pay you the refund amount in case of rejection at airport.

Is Covid-19 test still required?
Yes, a valid negative PCR Covid-19 test result from a government - accredited laboratory is mandatory pre-travel. Airlines carrying passengers must ensure the test is issued not more than 96 hours ahead of departure.

The authority said all precautionary and preventive measures will apply to residents upon their arrival into the UAE including conducting a laboratory examination for Covid-19, where required, and adhering to the approved quarantine in accordance with the established procedures, in addition to downloading the AlHosn app to ensure their health and safety of all UAE citizens and residents.
