How to Use WhatsApp Voice Note or Message Preview
Looking for a way to preview WhatsApp voice messages before sending them? WhatsApp this week introduced a preview voice message feature so users can review drafts of their audio recordings before sharing them with others. You can view your voice messages before sending them to an individual thread or group chat. Updates help you avoid sending voice messages that don't make sense at all or require an update with some correction. You can also playback before sending your voice message to see if your audio is clear.

WhatsApp has introduced a voice message preview for all users who are on the web or desktop, as well as Android and iOS.

In this article, we provide the steps you need to preview before sending your WhatsApp voice messages to your contacts.

How to use WhatsApp Voice Message Preview

Before starting the steps to use the voice message preview feature, make sure you have the latest version of WhatsApp on your device.

  1. Open an individual or group chat on WhatsApp.
  2. Tap and hold the microphone button next to the message textbox and then slide up to lock hands-free recording.
  3. On the Web and desktop versions of WhatsApp, you don't need to slide up as both offer hands-free recording after clicking the microphone.
  4. Now, start speaking your voice message.
  5. Tap the stop button to finish the recording.
  6. Hit the play button to listen to your recording.
  7. You can also move to a particular part of your recording by tapping the seek bar.

You can hit the send button if your message is appropriate and ready to share. If not, tap on the trash can to delete your voicemail and repeat the steps above to record one again.
