The IT Vendor Management team is part of American Airlines IT organization and delivers cutting edge technology solutions to IT stakeholders and their business partners. Software, hardware, telecom, software-as-a-service, consulting and professional services – we procure and manage vendor relationships across a wide spectrum.
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in key projects involving one or more of the large enterprise vendors or several of the above IT commodities across one or more IT departments like Cybersecurity, Sales, Reservations, Marketing, Airport Ops, Tech Ops, Crew, Mobility, Telecom, Employee and HR, Finance and Accounting, Cargo and Customer Experience. The IT landscape changes fast, and we are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can keep pace with changing technology and deliver the best deal to their internal customers
Job Requirements
Pursing at least a Bachelor’s degree in a Business or STEM related field
Knowledge of supply chain concepts
Negotiating and influencing skills
Ability to be self-directed and resourceful with the ability to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks with exhibited follow through and initiative
Business understanding, particularly in project management, early supplier involvement, total cost management and financial analysis
Understanding and use of technical tools for analysis, problem solving, forecasting and quality improvement
High ethical standards and communication skills
