Is Online Education Boon Or Bane?

Online education is a boon to people who want to pursue a higher education but can't afford traditional institutions. However, there are many negative aspects of online education. First, it limits the amount of available topics and professors, and second, it locks students out of their social circles. This is especially detrimental to those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds who have limited access to technology. Third, it makes it harder for students to make connections with educators, and in some countries, there is no internet access.

For example, in-class learning introduces students to the study coursework in bits and pieces. To get the full picture, students have to attend all the classes. Online learning provides comprehensive data for each subject. In addition, teachers can provide PDF documents and slides, which allow students to search for things simultaneously. In addition, students can record a course with the permission of the instructor. These advantages are a great benefit for students. There are also several disadvantages to online education.

Online Education Boon Or Bane

Online students have fewer responsibilities. They are less likely to give their full commitment to their studies. Oftentimes, they take their courses too lightly and don't find them interesting. In addition, they lack a mentor to monitor their progress and solve their doubts. This results in high rates of dropouts and academic failure. Unfortunately, most online education courses are in English or other languages, which isn't helpful for students in places where language is not a barrier to learning.
