What is National Testing Agency?

The National Testing Agency is a new government agency established in November 2017 in India. The Union Council of Ministers approved the establishment of this organization, which conducts entrance examinations for higher educational institutions. Vineet Joshi was appointed as the first Director-General. The new government agency is expected to carry out more than 12,000 tests per year. This is a great achievement for the education sector in India, and will help students gain access to higher education.

The NTA conducts several examinations. Currently, it conducts the UGC-NET, the JNUEE, the DUET, and the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test.
