Top-order left-handed batsman Saud Shakeel will captain the Pakistani team on their next tour of Sri Lanka, which will include 2 four days matches and 3 fifty-over matches from October 28 2021 to November 14, 2021. The tour will take place in Kandy and Colombo.
Pakistani player Saud played 3 ODI matches against the England team earlier this summer, and other international players decided to name to the 19-player squad include Abdullah Shafique (T20I), Arshad Iqbal (T20I), Usman Salahuddin (Test and ODI), Haider Ali (ODI, T20I), Zahid Mahmood (Test and ODI), Naseem Shah (Test), and Usman Salahuddin (T (T20I).
As a means of ensuring continuity in selection, the selectors have also kept players who have lately been a member of the national team but were unable to break into the playing XI. Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Haris, and Salman Ali Agha are among those who have made a name for themselves.
