HEC Announces Scholarships for Faculty of Public Universities

Scholarships for the Faculty Program have been offered by the Higher Education Commission for institutions around Pakistan (Batch-III).

Following the instructions, faculty members from public sector universities/degree awarding institutes (DAls) would be given the chance to enroll at HEC approved Pakistani universities/DAIs that have worldwide collaborations with prestigious universities across the world. Scholarships will be granted to faculty members for a maximum of four years, which will include a term of 12 months spent abroad.

Applicants can submit their applications using the HEC e-portal until the 3rd of November, 2021. A copy of the original deposit slip must be kept on hand in case the original hard copy is required at a later date.

Applicants must be citizens of Pakistan or the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and their maximum age at the time of application should be 45 years. They should have completed a minimum of 18 years of study and hold an MS/MPhil/equivalent degree in a relevant subject to be considered for Ph.D. admission.

Also required are two years of teaching experience at HEC-accredited academic institutions, a first division or minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 or above in the final degree, and no third division or D grade during their whole academic career.

Applicants who are currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program, who are receiving a scholarship from the HEC, the Govt, a university, or any other organization, or who are visit or adjunct faculty are unable to apply.
