The Ministry of Justice-Office of Residential Tenancies is seeking dependable, knowledgeable, service- acquainted individuals to give front- line service delivery in its Saskatoon office.

Reporting to the Deputy Director-Administration, you'll work as a member of our centralized customer service team operating in Regina and Saskatoon, furnishing information and leading tenants and landlords in the early resolution of disputes. After collecting and assaying problems, you'll propose and execute solutions including intervention in emergent situations.

 

You'll also educate tenants, landlords, and the general public in person, through a call centre, and at community centres on the rights and liabilities of landlords and tenants. You'll coach customers in responsible bearing and encourage early resolution of controversies. Those taking adjudication will count on you to explain statutory and regulatory procedures and scores concerning to their individual situation. You'll review claims for compliance and accurateness in order to avoid detentions, and you'll help to identify applicable substantiation and prepare customers for their hearing. You also will be largely productive in the preparation of legal documents and perform other duties with excellence as assigned.

As the successful applicant, you'll demonstrate exceptional tolerance and empathy while remaining regardful, neutral, and ideal. Your capability to prognosticate problems arising from a customer's planned behaviour or action will guide you in delivering direction and averting escalation of controversies. The information you change with customers requires you to directly apply legislation, procedures, guidelines, and legal priority to different situations.

 

Our applicant of choice will have the capability to communicate with others of different languages and whose use and grasp of the English language may be challenged. You'll have knowledge of communications technology and software applications and the capability to operate computer and office equipment.

You'll manage a high volume of work on a timely base, watch several customer service portals, and communicate effectively within the customer service crew to set precedences and meet deadlines under tight timelines. Your strong organizational and interpersonal skills along with the capability to take action without supervision will help you serve customers in a professional manner.

 

Generally, the knowledge needed to complete the conditions of this position is acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Communications, Public Policy, Human Justice, or a affiliated course of study.

 

Hours of Work: A-SGEU Office 36-one day off every two weeks
