South Western Railway Scouts and Guides Quota 2020: South Western Railway (SWR) Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Hubballi (Hubli) invites online applications from Indian Citizens from eligible and meritorious Scouts and Guides candidates for filling up 10 Vacancies of Group 'C' category posts against Scouts and Guides Quota for the year 2019-20. The closing date for receipt of applications is 20th January 2020.

Age Limit: [Upper age relaxation as per GOI Rules]
Group 'C' -> The candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years as on 01-01-2020.
Erstwhile Group 'D' -> The candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 33 years as on 01-01-2020.
Educational Qualifications:
Group 'C' Level 2 -> Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. 50% marks is not insisted upon in the case of SC/ST/Ex. Servicemen/Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates. 50% marks is also not insisted upon in the case of candidates who possess qualifications higher than the essential minimum prescribed qualification. Educational Qualification must be from Recognized Institutions (OR) Matriculation Plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/ ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. 50% marks is not insisted upon in the case of SC/ST/Ex. Servicemen/Persons With Disabilities (PWD) candidates. 50% marks is also not insisted upon in the case of candidates who possess qualifications higher than the essential minimum prescribed qualification. Educational Qualification must be from Recognized Institutions.
Group 'C' Level 1 -> Candidates should possess the qualification of 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent. Candidates appearing and/or awaiting results of the final examinations of 10th or ITI or equivalent on the date of application are not eligible to apply. Educational Qualification must be from Recognized Institutions.
Scouts & Guides Qualification: The following qualification would apply for recruitment of Scouts & Guides to posts in Grade Pay ₹ 1900/- and Grade Pay ₹ 1800/-.
(a) A President Scout/ Guide/ Rover/ Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section;
(b) Should have been an active member of a Scouts organization for the last 5 years. The ‘Certificate of Activeness’; and
(c) Should have attended two events at National level OR All Indian Railways' level AND two events at State level.
Selection Process: Written Test (50 Marks), Scouting Skill Assessment (10 Marks) and Marks on Certificates (40 Marks)
Examination Fee: ₹ 500/- for General and OBC Category Candidates; ₹ 250/- for SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes. The examination fee should be paid in the form of crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) only, from any Post office drawn in favour of Asst. Personnel Officer/ Traffic, South Western Railway, Hubballi, payable at Hubballi.

Applications should be registered online by filling up the required details in the prescribed format. The last date for submission of online registration is 20/01/2020 up to 23:59 Hours.
