What is GAT General:
Graduate Assessment Test GAT is the test taken by National Testing Service for assessing the abilities of the candidates which he/she has taught in his/her graduation period . After clearing this test candidates shall be able to take admission in MPhil/MS programs offered by Public and Private Sector Universities across Pakistan. NTS conducts test of GAT General 4 times in a year . Next GAT General Test will be held on 21st January 2018 . In 2017 NTS has conducted test of Graduate Assessment Test 4 times.
Why GAT General Test is necessary
GAT test is mandatory as per rules of Higher Education Commission for taking admission in Mphil or MS programs in private and public sector universities . Higher Education Commission is the body which regulate Universities and look into the matters of Public Sector Universities . Higher Education Commission has set a criteria regarding GAT General Test for admissions . Public and Private Sector Universities also conduct special Test of GAT before admission in Mphil in all disciplines .

GAT General book contain following sections according to the NTS Paper Distribution
1. English Portion or Verbal Ability
This portion contain Synonyms, Antonyms, Paragraphs with Questions and Answers , Analogies , Sentence Completion, Prepositions, and Critical Reading. This book also contain practice Exercises and Examples of English portion.
2. Analytical Reasoning
Analytical Reasoning is one of the most difficult portion of GAT General Paper. But Example and Exercises given in GAT General Smart Brain Book will make it easy for your better understanding of Analytical Reasoning questions.
3. Quantitative Ability
Quantitative Ability is another part of the GAT General Paper Quantitative Ability contains Arithmetic, Algebra and Geometry . Mathematics of the GAT General include solved examples and solved exercise on numbers, square root, H.C.F, L.C.M, Fraction and Decimals percentage, profit and loss, distance related questions, Average, Mean , Median, Mode , Question on Ages and Probability Questions.
There are total 4 Categories of GAT General Test but above section of English Portion or Verbal Reasoning , Analytical Reasoning and Basic Arithmetic will be part of the GAT General Paper . GRE or GAT General is 100 marks test and you have to attempt this test in 120 minutes . To be successful in this test you have to secure 50 marks.
