Science is an objective study of nature and its laws. It is an unending search for truth. It is rightly said:

Science is organized knowledge.

Today, science dominates every body’s life. It has introduced change in all spheres of life. It has changed our living style, our entertainment, our mode of work and even our attitude.

Oh star eyed science, for you I am all praise
You’ve changed our nights and changed our days

Science serves man in many fields. Now he has learned to use his knowledge in a better way.

It is better to be safe than sorry.

Science has brought revolution in the field of transportation. Fast speed vehicles have been invented. Now man flies in the air like birds and covers long distances in no time. The man has also invented spaceships to undertake long voyages across the oceans.

About steamships it is rightly said:

Steam is no stronger now than it was a hundred years ago,
but it is put to better use.

Now man has learnt to control the forces of nature. He has invented many devices to foresee things. In this way he is able to take precautionary measures. Now man has become the master of his environment.

Science has also brought revolution in communication. Man is no more sad to say good bye to his near ones. He can contact them in seconds on telephone, internet and by other means of communication. It is rightly said that internet has reduced the distances and changed the world into a global village. We can visit main libraries and business centres of the world. We can down load the information that we need. It saves time and money. Through internet we can talk to anyone anywhere in the world. E-mail is the far more economical and rapid than any other means of communication.

Science has performed miracles in the field of medicine. Now man has controlled even the fatal diseases. The most important of all is that it has given man a scientific outlook. He has become rational in his approach.lt is rightly said about the science.

You’ve saved us from death and disease
You’ve brought to our, life a-morning breeze.

Researches in the field of medicine and surgery have increased the average life of man. Operations are now easy and risk-free. Life is now safer than ever. Today, babies are born in hospitals. They are vaccinated against different diseases. We enjoy clean and pure environment. The different kinds of machines enable the man to hidden spots of pain in his body and play an important role in their treatment. Science surpasses the old miracles of mythology.

Science has brought the same revolution in the fields of education and entertainment. Our young generation is mentally more active and alert. Now man’s mind works in a logical way. Now we dress differently, eat different foods and work at different jobs. We even spend our leisure time a great deal differently now. We no more believe in baseless things of the past. We believe things because they can be verified by scientific investigation.

These days man enjoys more facilities and luxuries than ever before. It has brought comfort and pleasure for mankind. It has reduced human miseries. Progress and research in agriculture has increased production. Now the famines break out very rarely. So we can say science has brought many comforts and facilities in our world. It is definitely a blessing for mankind.
