Prior to the firm of PEC, the assessment was planned by the (DPI) that provides guiding principle along with Model inquiry Papers for Grade-V and Grade-VIII. The managerial District officers of Education (Now Chief Executive Officers) were necessary to develop the question papers according to the prototype of model ID and further position examinations for grade V and VIII in agreement to the guidelines given by the Directorate. However, the agenda for the examinations along with action plan was provided by the Directorate of Public Instruction (EE), Punjab.

Overall excellence of papers varied considerably.
Question papers didn't stand for the set of courses.
Some areas wanted improvements, such as paper setting, mark schemes and consistency of the question complexity with the children's information.
Since each district created its own paper, test results couldn't be compared to districts. The region and school comparisons of results would have turn out to be possible only if all student were responding to the same examination papers.

In Dec 2005, a need for the organization of an independent body was felt for the appraisal of students' learning accomplishment in the province. This idea was given the shape of realism with the sanction of the Governor for the firm of "Punjab Examination Commission" as a self-governing body on 16th January 2006 with a tough task to establish new setup and to arrange Grade-V Examination to be held the same year.

Dr.Ken Vine and Dr.Ted Redden with the teamwork of UNICEF organized the preparation of paper setters. A team of Master-Trainers was further urbanized to provide teaching to the field staff.

Uniform query papers in each subject were urbanized to assess the learning achievement of the students across the region and to have the contrast of student ability on the basis of standard and uniform yard-stick.

in our day, Punjab Examination Commission PEC arrange training courses on the methodology of the new scheme of examination for a subject specialist, teachers, paper developers, examiners, and paper marker. Master trainer has been educated by Punjab Examination Commission PEC to train a head teacher in all the districts. The head teachers are then necessary to share their information with their man teachers.

5th Class Date Sheet 2018 PEC

PEC is a self-sufficient Punjab Examination Commission body set up by the Punjab Government to fine and examines culture achievements for the most part of grade 5 and 8. PEC Punjab Examination Commission in progress performance in 2005 and in 2006 behavior 5th grade population test for the first time in the Province. Now PEC Punjab Examination Commission is a constitutional body working under PEC Act XI of 2010.
