Eligibility Qualification:

TECHNICAL OFFICER I -> First or high second class Master’s degree in Physics (01 post) / Geophysics (01 post). 02  years experience of working in the relevant field in a reputed Research Laboratory / Institute / University. 01 post for B.E./M.E. in Computer Engineering. 2 years experience of working as a programmer in a reputed Research Institute / Organizsation.

SENIOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANT -> First or high second class Master's degree in Geophysics. 2 years experience of working in the relevant field in a reputed Research Laboratory/ Institute/ University.

SUPERINTENDENT -> Bachelors Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce with 5 years experience in the lower grade or equivalent in similar capacity in administration and related work in a Govt./ Semi Govt./ Public Sector undertaking/ Private Sector of repute.

ASSISTANT -> Bachelors Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce with 3 years experience as UDC or equivalent post in a Govt./ Semi Govt./ Public Sector undertaking/ Private Sector of repute.

UPPER DIVISION CLERK -> Bachelors Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce.

STENOGRAPHER (GRADE-II) -> Matric with 12th class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University. Skill Test Norms - Dictation : 10 minutes@80 w.p.m., Transcription : 50 minutes (Eng.) on Computer.

Selection Process: Written Test / Skill Test / Interview.

Application Fee: ₹ 300/- by crossed demand draft. The prescribed application form can also be obtained from the office of the Registrar, IIG, by paying an application fee of ₹ 300/- by crossed demand draft in favour of Indian Institute of Geomagnetism, New Panvel, either in person between 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on working days (Monday to Friday) OR it can be obtained by post by sending an application along with the application fee and a self-addressed stamped (for Rs. 10/-) envelope super scribing “Request for Application Form”. For SC/ST (on production of valid caste certificate) & female candidates, application form will be issued free of cost.

Essential Qualifications:

Fellow -> A First class Master's degree in Physics. Research experience of at least three years in the broad area of Space Plasma processes having specialization in modeling of Plasma waves & instabilities in Earth's Magnetosphere.

Senior Technical Assistant -> First class Masters Degree in Physics/ Geophysics or First Class Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.
