Candidates who have passed post graduate degree in Civil Engineering from a Government recognised University / Institute after passing B.Tech/B.E in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks in the aggregate will be given preference.
(b) Experience (Other than Staff candidates) Essential At least 2 years' experience after graduation / post-graduation (in a position of independent responsibility equivalent to that of as Asst. Engineer) in public / private limited organisation including Hospitals/ Banks/ Financial Institutions/ Residential campus based educational institutions in planning / designing/ construction/ maintenance of large office building/ housing projects/ industrial projects including services and preparation and evaluation of tender papers.
(c) Desirable - i) Administering construction projects in all its various aspects and knowledge of PERT / CPM techniques. ii) Working knowledge of computers with particular reference to analysis and evaluation of tenders / CAD/ CAM and structural designing. iii) Working knowledge of maintenance of electrical and electromechanical services.

Safety Officer –>
For applicants applying for the Mysuru Press -> A person shall not be eligible for appointment as a Safety Officer unless he -
(1) Possesses a recognised degree in any branch of engineering or technology and has had practical experience of working in a factory in a Supervisory capacity for a period of not less than 2 years, or a recognised degree in physics or chemistry and has had practical experience of working in a factory in a supervisory capacity for a period of not less than 5 years, or a recognised diploma in any branch of engineering or technology and has had practical experience of working in a factory in a supervisory capacity for a period not less than 5 years;
(2) Possesses a degree or diploma in industrial safety recognised by the State Government in this behalf; and
(3) has adequate knowledge of the language spoken by majority of the workers in the region in which the factory where he is to be appointed is situated (Kannada).
For applicants applying for Salboni Press -> A person shall not be eligible for appointment as a Safety Officer unless he-
(1) possesses a degree of a recognised University or its equivalent in any branch ,of engineering or technology with two years' experience in a position of supervision or management in a factory in either the production or the maintenance or the safety department, or a degree of a recognised University in Physics and Chemistry with five years' experience in a position of supervision or management in a factory in either the production or the maintenance or the safety department, or a diploma in any branch of engineering or technology recognised by the State Government with five years' experience in a position of supervision or management in a factory in either the production or the maintenance or the safety department;
(2) possesses a degree or diploma or certificate in industrial safety recognised by the State Government;
(3) has thorough knowledge of Bengali acquired through an institution under a Board of Secondary Education or affiliated to a University or recognised by the State Government;
(4) has qualified at a viva voce test conducted by a Board constituted by the Labour Department, Government of West Bengal, for the purpose;
(5) can speak Hindi.
Welfare Officer ->
(1) Applicant has thorough knowledge of Bengali acquired through an institution which is under a Board of Secondary Education or affiliated to a University or recognized by the State Government;
(2) Applicant can speak Hindi;
(3) Applicant has obtained a degree or diploma in Labour and Social Welfare recognized by the Government of West Bengal or has passed Labour Welfare Officer's Training Course of the Labour Department of the Government of West Bengal.
(4) Applicant has qualified at a viva-voce test conducted by a Board constituted by the Labour Department of the Government of West Bengal for the purpose.
Experience:
(1) Safety Officer –> 10 Years experience in a position of supervision or management in a factory in either production /maintenance /safety department.
(2) Welfare Officer –> Applicant should have a minimum of 3 years' experience in Labour Welfare activities in an organisation of repute.

(a) Diploma in Printing/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Diploma in Tool & Die / Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Diploma in Electronics Engineering/ Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering / Diploma in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate (50% in respect of SC/ST candidates) from a Government recognized Institute / University. About Exam:
(a) The Objective type of written examination in respect of Assistant Manager will consist of tests on Reasoning & Analytical Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, General English and General Awareness. All these tests except General English will be in bilingual form, i.e., Hindi & English and the applicants will have to choose one medium to answer.
(b) The Objective type of written examination in respect of Industrial Workman Grade-I (Trainee) will consist of tests on Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Science (Consisting of Physics & Chemistry of 10th Std. CBSE) and General Knowledge. All these tests will be in bilingual form, i.e., Hindi & English and the applicants will have to choose one medium to answer.
