The HBL PSL players list is placed here. The Pakistan Super League squads for the third edition of the competition will be announced after the PSL Draft that will be held closer to the start of the tournament.
Teams will be allowed to retain a few players going into the PSL Draft but with a sixth team added to the mix, it will be interesting to see if the Pakistan Cricket Board allows teams to hold back on too many players. Foreign PSL players will be paid USD 10,000 per match to play in Pakistan next season.
This was after the Multan Sultans became the sixth side to join the Pakistan Super League following a bidding procedure. They join the Peshawar Zalmis, Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United as the other teams in the competition. The PSL squads for the third season will be updated here as soon as the Draft is over.

Last season had seen a main draft held before teams were allowed to transfer their players, and this was followed by a mini-Draft going into the final of the Pakistan Super League that was held in Lahore. This year, as many as eight games are expected to played in Pakistan, including a few in Lahore and Karachi and it needs to be seen if a fresh Draft will be needed.
PSL Chairman Najam Sethi has already said that the overseas players selected will be expected to play those Pakistan-based games as well.
In a strange piece of news, Shahid Afridi has decided he will no longer ply his trade for the Peshawar side which was led by Darren Sammy; instead he will feature for the Karachi Kings.
The country has a strong cricketing heritage and keeps dishing out prominent players on the scene. The country’s capacity at hurling fast bowlers on the cricketing arena is almost incredible. The administrators are tweaking last year’s faults to ensure that everything is hunky dory with Lahore/Karachi set to host the PSL 2022 final.
Six teams in PSL 2022,tweets Sethi
LAHORE: Chairman of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018 Najam Sethi on Friday announced the addition of a sixth team to the existing five teams in the cricket tournament’s next edition.
He also said the total number of matches in the PSL’s next iteration would increase to 34, out of which eight matches, he said, could be held in Pakistan.
Cricket fans have been speculating anxiously about the inclusion of at least one more team in the PSL since the beginning of the league.
An overwhelming number of cricket followers replied to Najam Sethi’s tweet with the suggestion to have the new team launch under the banner of “Kashmir”.
However, against the backdrop of Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) ongoing friction with the Indian cricket board, it remains to be seen whether such a suggestion will be taken.
This year’s PSL saw its final match take place at Lahore’s Gadaffi stadium.
The last match of the tournament, played between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi, ended with Zalmi lifting the championship trophy.
With the inclusion of one more team and an expanded number of fixtures, next year’s PSL could be bigger in size and commercial value.
