Here are a few of the highlights from our Little Flowers Girls' Club Meeting for the Wreath II virtue of Loyalty and St. Lucy:

~ Meeting and Notebook Pages ~
Amy gave the talk on Loyalty for this meeting and read a story about St. Lucy from the lovely book Around the Year Once Upon a Time Saints by Ethel Pochocki.
The notebook page for St. Lucy was my favorite from this past year. It was simple, but I just loved the image of St. Lucy and thought the page turned out so pretty. We started with red and white cardstock. I then found a poppy flower border (flipping it for the right side of the page) to decorate the corners. I also typed the St. Lucy prayer so that, when it was cut out by the girls, it would be heart shaped. The document I made can be downloaded here.

Since the flower for this meeting was a Poppy, I ordered the Memorial Poppies with Poem from Oriental Trading and replaced the poem with the memory verse.
Had this meeting taken place in November or December I would have loved to make Santa Lucia Crowns with the girls again. Maybe next time!
